Dubrovnik - Read our Stories and Reviews
This miraculously preserved town on the Adriatic Sea has it all - intriguing and welcoming people, completely unspoilt scenic beauty, cultural heritage and texture that brims over and a vibrant, fun local lifestyle. There is something wonderful about letting kids run around in a whole pedestrian town, letting them see what life was like before cars ruled the earth. And if you want to simply swim by day and party by night, you’ll still take in the culture by osmosis because every stick and stone here has a story.
If you are looking for an alternative to the London/Paris/Rome European holiday consider making this your new base and exploring the Dalmation Coastline - the ‘new Mediterranean’ Eastern style. I recommend cruising along the Adriatic and discovering coastal villages and nearby islands like KORCULA, which we spontaneously visited on this trip (see story).
