This was an incredible day and a memorable Turkish experience. We can only claim to having a "sample taste"of Bodrum. The intimacy of the Casa Dell’ Arte and charm of our hosts made us not want to leave.
We can easily see ourselves relaxing here in Bodrum somtime in the future. The Peninsula has the ying and yang that we need for a perfect 6 day break - three days in the gracious, chilled atmosphere of the wonderful Casa Dell’Arte with great service, surrounded by beauty and art. We would take sunset cruises, Zoe would have an interactive, arty kids club to play in and Noah could be in jet-ski heaven on the bay.
Then I would bookend it with two more days at the Macakizi Beach Club, which is the opposite of a retreat. I’d like to try the hotel once... meet cool people, listen to music, go boating, soak up the vibe-y atmosphere and kick back to watch the beautiful people at play. There is a nearby nightlife in town, plenty of villages to explore and the sapphire blue deep of the gorgeous Aegean Blue to pull you back to this region that we now love. We will definitely come back to play here as Bodrum really works for us.
