Summer in Israel is very family oriented, with great swimming, waterfront locales and festivals around the country, with the north being particularly popular. I loved this region not only for its dramatic topography of grassy plains fringed by mountain ranges, but also for this sense of fun around water, something I have always instilled in my family.
So many people’s images of Israel are inspired by the famous holy cities and arid desert lands, which are indeed remarkable. But I highly recommend taking the time to join the Israelis on holiday in this fertile, lush part of the country. You’ll take a journey through an ever-changing landscape of coastal settlements and woodland, mountain streams. The one thing that won’t change is the ever-present culture and spiritual history waiting for you in every corner.
