Looking back on this trip I would recommend that you spend 5 nights in this part of the world.

2/3 nights at Hayman Island Resort first – enjoy all the facilities it has to offer, and there are plenty…and then head to Qualia on Hamilton Island for the last few days of pampering and total chillout ! You will be departing from Hamilton Island when you leave, so this makes more sense to do Qualia last.

MAYBE NEXT TIME

The next time we visit we’ll be able to check out the 18-hole golf course that was under construction when we were there, which will add another world class asset to Qualia, appealing to obsessive, roaming golf freaks.

Also opening in November 2009 is a world-class upgraded marina and yacht club, which will really put this on the jet-set map. Now the super yachts that, up until now, have not been able to berth in the Whitsundays, will be able to sail right into town.
