OUR CONCLUSION OF HAWKES BAY New Zealand

20/20 VISION – LOOKING BACK

We squeezed our visit to Cape Kidnappers in between our North and South Island stays but I would never recommend staying one nights and one day like we did. I was going to get my adventure fix in Queenstown later but I could have used more time just to take in the setting and enjoy 6000 acres of primo NZ topography. You need at least two full days to truly wind down and settle in anywhere. This is a perfect weekend stay and you won’t even have to leave the lodge to have a wonderful time. If the day trips appeal you could have a great base camp for five days at Hawkes Bay.

This property worked brilliantly in combination with Huka Lodge because they are different enough to complement each other (and you’ll want to return to both) but close enough to make the transfer between the 2 properties easy.
