When the whole family flew into Denver to see my son Noah’s favorite basketball team play on our last family holiday stateside, it was the ideal opportunity to enjoy a few nights in the gorgeous mountain setting of nearby Vail. This valley town in the White River National Forest is also the
country’s most popular ski resort - we couldn’t wait to show Zoe some “real” snow. The village’s white, sugary slopes, snow-capped fir trees and chalet style rooftops are straight out of a Christmas card.
But there is plenty to keep visitors coming back all year round - the seven-mile mountain backdrop, great restaurants and, of course, dramatically beautiful season changes. The valley is both a picturesque, family friendly destination and a great base for nature-style adventures in the region...
