Rio feels like our family’s new discovery because it far exceeded our expectations. Funnily enough, we anticipated a has-been, rundown town riding on faded 1970s glory and its once-a-year Carnivale boom. Instead we found one of the world’s most vibrant, fun, sexy cities - set amongst glorious mountains, with sizzling atmosphere and plenty to see and do.
