The township is full of the kind of trinkets, little bracelets, necklaces, Mexican folk art and colourful souvenirs that kids like. You’ll pass plenty of local colour in the shopfronts along the MALECON beach promenade in town. Sheira and I were just as happy to take it in and didn’t feel compelled to actually shop.
If you want to top up on designer sportswear, sunglasses, Mexican art and swimwear the resort has its very own, quite smart shopping arcade so you don’t even need to leave the compound. After North America we were more into salt air on our faces than air conditioning and tiling but a lot of guests love being able to shop on site.
